Health care
I am a Medical Doctor, working as Chief Physician at Munkkiniemi health station.
I know what works and what doesn’t in primary health care. I want to work for well-functioning, easily accessible health care. Helsinki should offer every inhabitant equal opportunities to take care of their health.
Young people and families with children in need of mental care should not have to queue for help.
Education
As chairman of the board of my children´s school, member of the board of the parental association, and in my years of being a class parent, as well as having worked as a natural science teacher at the Arcada University of Applied Sciences, I have gained good insights into the prerequisites of creating the best possible school.
I want to work for high-quality, diverse, and well-functioning education from primary school to university.
My dream is that self-knowledge, self-leadership, entrepreneurship, and social skills are continuous education components in our comprehensive schools.
Environment
All my life, I have spent my summers in the archipelago. I have seen how the environment has suffered. From now on, I want all political decision-making to consider environmental aspects.
Helsinki is to be an initiator in solving environmental issues and a model for other capitals. We can carry out ambitious changes – we have all it takes.
If we act quickly and ambitiously in our decision-making, we can obtain financial benefits and create more jobs.
